I wanted to update you on APLN progress over the last couple of months.
Plans are in full swing for the Leadership Summit at Agile 2006. The APLN is running
this event this year and we hope many of you will be able to participate.
The Summit is on Wednesday, July 26th and we will have a membership meeting
that afternoon/evening. We are still looking for sponsors for the event, so
let me know if any of your organizations are interested.
The APLN Board has just elected officers for next year (terms to start as of
the Agile conference): President--Todd Little, Vice-President--Pollyanna
Pixton, Secretary--Christopher Avery, Treasurer--Kent McDonald. We have
several board positions open and the membership will vote on new board
positions at our annual meeting on the 26th.
The Networking committee has been working hard to establish a membership
interaction capability. You will be getting an invitation soon to join our
new Sharepoint system. I encourage everyone to contribute to the site.
We now have eight local chapters of APLN and are closing in on 200 members.
We hope to recruit new members at the XP & Agile conference in Finland and
Agile 2006 in Minneapolis.
Most of our current energy and effort is focused on preparation for Agile
2006. If you are interested in helping, please let me know.
Regards & see you in Minneapolis!
Jim Highsmith
APLN Board President
